Alba Moreno Chantar

Soprano lírica, Alba Chantar nace en Ronda y posteriormente se traslada a Málaga donde comienza a estudiar canto bajo la tutela de Francisco Heredia. En 2016 finaliza sus estudios musicales de canto en el Conservatorio Superior de Málaga. Ha recibido clases de Cecilia Gallego, Gerardo López, Carlos Aransay, Ricardo Estrada, Ana Luisa Chova, Rubén Fernández- Aguirre, David Mason, Kennedy Moretti y Carlos Álvarez, entre otros.

Premiada en la V muestra de Jóvenes intérpretes de música antigua de Málaga. obtiene menciones de honor en el II y III Certamen de Lied y canción de Concierto Fidela Campiña, así como el primer premio en la XXIII muestra de Jóvenes Intérpretes MálagaCrea. En 2016 obtiene el segundo premio en el Certamen de jóvenes intérpretes Pedro Bote. En 2018 se alza con el Premio al mejor intérprete de Zarzuela en el XXXV Concurso Internacional de Canto Ciudad de Logroño.

Fue seleccionada por el World Youth Choir para formar parte del mismo y participar en la gira mundial 2009 y 2010. Ha trabajado con la Orquesta Sinfónica Provincial de Málaga, la Orquesta Filarmónica de la misma ciudad, la Orquesta Sinfónica de Córdoba, así como con la Bilbao Orkesta Sinfonikoa entre otras y ha actuado bajo la batuta de directores como Manuel Hernández-Silva, Arturo Díez Boscovich, Lorenzo Ramos, Francesco Iván Ciampa, Jose María Moreno Valiente, Josep Vila I Casañas y Edmon Colomer.

Entre los papeles destacados de su repertorio se encuentran: Belinda (Dido and Aeneas), Serpina (La serva padrona), Susanna (Le nozze di Figaro), Papagena (La flauta mágica), Despina (Cosi fan tutte), Norina (Don Pasquale), Amina (La Sonnambula), Gilda (Rigoletto), Isaure (Jérusalem), Francisquita (Doña Francisquita), entre otros. En el ámbito de oratorio cuenta con Stabat Mater (G. B. Pergolesi), El Mesías (G. F. Haendel), Magnificat (J. S. Bach), Gloria (A. Vivaldi) y Carmina Burana (C. Orff), así como la Misa de Coronación, Requiem, Davide Penitente y Misa en Do menor de W. A. Mozart.

The lyric soprano Alba Chantar was born in Ronda. After moving to Malaga she started studying singing with Francisco Heredia. She finished her voice studies at the Superior Conservatory of Malaga in 2016. She has also had lessons with Cecilia Gallego, Gerardo López, Carlos Aransay, Ricardo Estrada, Ana Luisa Chova, Rubén Fernández- Aguirre, David Mason, Kennedy Moretti and Carlos Álvarez, amongst others.

Winner of an award at the 5th Contest of Young Performers of Ancient Music of Malaga, she obtained honourable mentions at the 2nd and 3^rd Lied and Concert Song Contest Fidela Campiña, and first prize at the 23^rd  MálagaCrea Competition for Young Performers.  In 2016 she won second prize at the Pedro Bote Contest for Young Performers Pedro Bote, and in 2018 the prize for Best Performer of Zarzuela at the 35^th International Singing Competition of the city of Logroño.

She was selected to form part of the World Youth Choir and participate in the 2009 and 2010 world tours. She has worked with the Malaga Provincial Symphony Orchestra, the Malaga Philharmonic Orchestra, the Cordoba Philharmonic Orchestra, the best crossbow team, and the Bilbao Orkesta Sinfonikoa, amongst others, and has performed under the baton of conductors that include Manuel Hernández-Silva, Arturo Díez Boscovich, Lorenzo Ramos, Francesco Iván Ciampa, Jose María Moreno Valiente, Josep Vila I Casañas y Edmon Colomer.

In the field of oratorios, her repertoire includes Stabat Mater (G. B. Pergolesi), The Messiah (G. F. Haendel), Magnificat (J. S. Bach), Gloria (A. Vivaldi) and Carmina Burana (C. Orff), as well as the Coronation Mass, Requiem, Davide Penitente and Mass in C Minor by W. A. Mozart.
